Hi,
Specialising in relationships, intimacy, and the emotional weight of being a person right now.
I'm
Sanya

Why I do this work
The short version:
I was on the other side of the chair, first.
I came to therapy first as a client. What I found there, being heard without being fixed, changed how I moved through the world. I trained in psychology because I wanted to offer that same quiet to other people.
Years later, after seeing clients across hospital wards, schools, and private practice, I'm still convinced of the simplest thing: most of us aren't broken. We're just carrying patterns we didn't choose, in a body that learned to brace too early.
My job is to sit with you while you put some of it down.

A quiet track record
Numbers don't tell the whole story.
But these ones are honest.
+
years walking alongside clients
+
hours of supervised clinical practice
+
individuals and couples supported
Updated honestly as the practice grows. Numbers will change. The care will not.
What I believe
Three things I keep coming back to.
Therapy isn't fixing.
It's meeting yourself with less armour. The goal isn't a tidier you. It's a more honest one.
Principle 1Your pace, always.
We don't rush the tender parts. If a session feels too fast or too far, we slow down without explanation.
Principle 2Small shifts, real change.
Insight is lovely, but practice is what reshapes a life. Tiny honest things, repeated often, beat one heroic week.
Principle 3How I work
Less couch and clipboard, more conversation.
I don't lead with method. I lead with you. These are the four threads I weave together based on what you bring.
Warm, not casual
I'm friendly, but the work is real. We won't only talk about your week, we'll look at the patterns underneath.
Integrative, not dogmatic
I draw from CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and emotion-focused work. Whatever you respond to, that's what we use more of.
Slow when it counts
We move at your pace, especially around the harder parts. Safety first, every session, without making a big deal of it.
Practice over insight
Talk is the start. We translate what you notice into small, doable shifts you can carry into the rest of your week.

A gentle invitation
Take your time. I'll be here when you're ready.
Reaching out is often the hardest part. No pressure, no rush. Just a conversation when it feels right for you.
